Reasons for Monitoring a Mobile Phone

For many parents and employers, there can be several reasons to want to monitor the activities of a mobile phone provided to kids or employees. Here is a breakdown of the top ten reasons for monitoring a mobile phone with mobile monitoring software.

1. Suspecting Deceit. Many people wish to monitor their mobile phone for reasons associated with deceptive behavior from kids or employees. If you are a parent or employer, and suspect someone is using your mobile phone to be dishonest about locations or who they’re talking to, then you will want to use the phone for monitoring purposes.

2. To Block Numbers. You might want to block numbers from communicating with the phone for many reasons. Employees may be using a company issued phone for personal calls, or your kids may be using their phone for calling dangerous characters or fueling conflict. There are many things they may be using the phone for, but being able to block communication to the wrong numbers helps keep everyone safe.

3. Monitoring websites visited. Users share thoughts with search engines and websites that they wouldn’t necessarily share with everyone else. If you suspect that your phone is being used for the wrong reasons, monitoring the mobile phone website history will give great insight into what they are viewing.

4. To locate the Phone. Use monitoring software to locate your mobile in the event it is lost or stolen. Monitoring software periodically reports GPS locations to a secure website for you to view when you choose. Find out if your mobile really is where it was reported to be.

5. Enforce time or data restrictions. You can set your phone for allowing talk, text, or web access only at certain times, or disable a function completely. Ensure that your kids aren’t texting when their supposed to be driving, or talking in school. Set a curfew on the mobile so your kids get plenty of rest. Make sure employees cannot use the phone for calls after work hours.

6. Secure your business. Smartphones in the workplace can be a serious threat to productivity and information security. But smartphones are equally as important to improving productivity and information correspondence. Monitoring the phone for evidence of misuse allows you to detect and take away any threats to your business strength.

7. Review Media stored on your mobile. Your child or employee may implicate you in a federal crime by storing the wrong photos to your phone. Exposure to explicit images or videos at young ages has been shown to manifest as deviant behavior later in life. Protect your family by monitoring the mobile device for signs of improper media.

8. Monitor shared information. It is important to keep certain information private, mostly for personal safety, but also to maintain a strong business. Find out if the phone has been used for conveying information that could compromise the safety or well being of your home or business.

9. Hold users responsible for misuse of the device. It’s sad, but it’s even hard to get adults to take responsibility for their actions unless they’re caught red handed. Install mobile monitoring software on your phone for keeping a record of how it has been used so you can present the evidence at the appropriate time.

10. Learn the Truth. All you want is the truth, yet it’s hard to trust most people these days. Having the raw, unbiased truth about what your mobile phone is being used for will help put your mind at ease. You will be able to put a stop to lies about what your phone is used for, and find peace through truth.

Employee Mobile Phone Monitoring Solution

For many, issuing a company mobile phone to an employee can be sort of a “win/lose” situation. On one hand, you have the added convenience of maintaining contact with employees while they are out and about taking care of important company business. These company mobile phones can even benefit the employee who can now stay in contact with you, prospective customers, and numerous other reasons. On the other hand, these company mobile phones can be a disruptive nuisance for productivity, giving the employee more reason not to complete the tasks at hand. Calling or texting family and friends, playing games, or surfing inappropriate content on the phone’s internet are just a few distractions causing an employee to be less productive. In situations such as this, seeking an employee mobile monitoring solution is essential. Employee mobile monitoring software such as Mobile Spy may be just what your company needs.

employee mobile phones should be tracked iphone androidReviewing monthly mobile phone statements is simply not enough. These basic statements just don’t give enough information of what an employee is really doing on their company mobile phone. For example, a monthly statement can show how many text messages were sent and received, or how much internet data was used. But it won’t tell you what was said in the message, or what internet websites were visited. Employee mobile monitoring software can do just that. After installing a mobile monitoring program on company mobile phones, you will be able to see exactly what was sent and received in each SMS text message. With the URL recording feature, you will be able to see exactly what websites were visited on your company mobile phone and when.

Have you ever wondered if your employee is actually where they say they are? You may suspect dishonesty, but think there is no way to actually find the truth. With the employee mobile phone monitoring GPS recording feature, you can now know exactly where your employee has been. After installation, simply login to your online account and click on the GPS monitoring feature. GPS locations are uploaded to the account depending on the desired interval that you choose. These locations are displayed in a listed with the coordinates and a time stamp, along with a link to a map so you pin point the exact street location of where they were at that time. You can even send a command to the phone which will give you the instant GPS location of where your employee is with the mobile phone at that very moment.

Features included with employee mobile monitoring software include call and SMS text message logs, GPS locations, URL websites visited, emails, photos taken by the phone, contacts, and much more. These features are a great solution for a company to help discover the truth about an employee who is abusing their company mobile phone privileges.

Starting as low as $49.97, the Mobile Spy monitoring software can be an invaluable tool in discovering the truth about employee mobile phone abuse. This will help you and your company save money on those costly monthly mobile phone charges.

What is a Smartphone ?

Smartphone Computers

So you have the need to monitor your child’s phone. Maybe you have doubts about how someone who works for you uses the phone you supplied. Do you own a smartphone? Do you know what a smartphone is? While there are many phones that can run nice looking applications,  a large percentage are simply “feature” phones. There is a difference, and a reason why this is important.

Since 1992, computer companies have been at war trying to come up with the most advanced phones. Nokia introduced the first touchscreen phone with features such as fax capabilities and a calendar, and the screen had no color. Because of its user interface, it was considered one of the first smartphones, but is considered a low end phone by today’s standards. It wasn’t until 2000, when Ericsson came out with a phone that ran Symbian OS, that today’s smartphone came into being.

At this point, there were other phones on the market with color screens, and the ability to run java programs, but the types of programs you could put on the phone were limited to what could be made available to you by your phone’s company. Ericsson’s Symbian OS broke that by operating a cell phone like a small computer, which is what a phone is anyways. You could now run any program you want on your phone, just like you could on your computer at home.

After the corporations realized that there was a high demand for advanced phones, they began developing their own Operating Systems. BlackBerry, Windows, and Palm OS were on the scene by 2002, and in 2007, Apple introduced the iPhone. After frustrations with Apple’s intent on privatizing their application store, a conglomeration of companies (Intel, Google, Motorola, HTC, Samsung) introduced the Android OS, which is open source.

Now, a “feature” phone is a cheap alternative to a smartphone. You can do most of the things that you could with a smartphone on a feature phone, but the OS is unchangeable and programs only run one at a time. These phones are programmed one time, and the companies that designed them have no desire to help you monitor your phone’s usage, so you are left without the resources you want.

If you own a BlackBerry, an iPhone, or a phone running Android, then you have a smartphone. These phones are great at doing multiple tasks at once, and programmers have the ability to design any program you could imagine for these. You now have the ability to monitor mobile phones with programs such as Mobile Spy or PhoneSheriff to keep your kids and your reputation safe. If you own a smartphone, be aware of the potential for its advanced technology to be abused and put a stop to bad practices by purchasing mobile monitoring software for it.
